DIY Tip of the Week
The weather is getting warmer, the flowers are in bloom, yep, Summer is getting closer! While most of us want to run outside and immediately embrace this beautiful thing called sunshine after months of dreary weather, the common conundrum is what to wear? Wearing jeans to the beach just doesn’t feel right. So this week we’re going to learn how to evolve some of our old jeans into funky shorts for summer. Check out this great video from DIY Life- this method uses a sewing machine, however if you’re after the frayed look, just pull a few threads from each leg bottom rather than hemming. Enjoy!

Have you had to let go of your emotional attachment to an awesome outfit in Vinnies due to it being 3 sizes too big? Have you ever thought: ‘If only I knew how to sew, I could buy those amazing pants that were made for someone much taller than me.’ Well, it’s time to say au revoir to those worries! Throughout 3things’ Exchange for Change, we’re encouraging everyone to stop wishing and start doing, by hooking you up with the best sewing workshops and courses around the country, so you can start re-vamping those clothes at the bottom of your wardrobe.
