In just over two weeks the worlds governments begin negotiating an international Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) to prevent arms transfers to human rights abusers and repressive governments. By most accounts it seems that the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Durban, South Africa, has drawn to close, not with a bang but a whisper. Negotiators managed to agree to agree later, in 2015 in fact, on a new climate treaty which won’t be rolled out until 2020. Read the full story »
