3things - We can change the world

3things is a movement for global goodness. We believe if each of us take small positive steps, together we can make some big changes.

So whether you've got 3 minutes, 3 weeks or more, you can do 3things to change the world...

From snow to show: 3things goes Global

You'd think being stationed in Europe & studying a Master’s in International Humanitarian Action might keep him busy enough, but Peter Grzic, one of our treasured and missed 3thingers, couldn't help himself when in Sweden and the Netherlands, taking his 3things blackboard across the continent to find out what people are vowing to do to change the world - on the other side of it.

His course was a mix up of peeps from all around the globe, from Indonesia and Bhutan to Peru and Bangladesh, who are now beginning their own internships in places like Kenya, Somalia, DRC, Panama, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Samoa etc. Global enough?!

Check out some of the brilliant and varied 3things photos taken in Groningen, Holland in January. In February, Pete and co built a snowman outside one of the Uppsala university buildings with his very own 3things agenda (we had a good giggle over the empowering of snowwomen). And in July, a group of NOHA students who’d studied in Deusto University in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain, organised and held a TEDx event with the theme of Humanizing the World. The event included lots of humanitarian types, screened the 3things TED talk at the event and used the 3things chalkboard during the coffee breaks and networking time. They took polaroids of each person with the board and hung the polaroids up for others to see. How cool is that?!

Peter tells us the 3things message really resonates with the people he's met "along the way over the last 9 months or so, I’ve seen a lot of people making small changes. Some people have taken up the challenge to reduce their meat consumption. I’ve been trying to travel by train instead of plane where posible (I’m on a 12hr train ride now). Lots of students have been volunteering along the way, for example with new migrants in Holland to help themm learn Dutch and settle into the country, and with Amnesty International in Sweden. Nearly all of us rely on bikes to get around (even in the snow) and love it. And we all talk passionatly and often about issues affecting the world, as well as sharing lots of information with each other online. We have a great network of people all around the world, all working to do amazing things that help change the world"

3things in action, globetrotting style. We like.
