3things - We can change the world

3things is a movement for global goodness. We believe if each of us take small positive steps, together we can make some big changes.

So whether you've got 3 minutes, 3 weeks or more, you can do 3things to change the world...

Are you a bit baffled by the fact that we have enough food to feed all the world's population and yet a billiion of us are going to bed hungry? We know the system is broken, but why, how, and what can we do to attempt to mend it? The complexity of the issues can be enough to make your head throb, so we thought it was about time we created a little video that explained it all and hopefully makes you smile.

This all started a couple of months ago, when the wonderful team who run Oxfam International Youth Partnerships Program asked me if I could produce a  short video about food injustice to be sent to the 300 young people (called 'Action Partners') that they support in their program, and get across some of the complex issues that Oxfam are currently unpacking as part of the GROW campaign (no easy feat!). I decided to use some colourful and fun animation with some funky riffs to get people thinking the issues without it being too yawn-inducing!

This video is for anyone that wants to understand what this term 'broken food system' really means and also what transformation is already underway to grow a better food future for us all.

The end of the video asks you a question... Let us know your answer by posting below.

About the writer / creator / producer / director / woman of many talents

When I'm not working part time in the 3things team, I'm using my creative juices to bring film projects to life. We all have our own skills and interests that we can use to change the world, and so I use my mixed bag of tricks to create meaningful and positive productions.
